Usually placed either after the automatic bale opening system, or directly in front of the cards, the AD-50 C removes all metal, ferrous and non-ferrous, without interrupting production. Additionally, the AD-50 C will divert and extinguish all sparks detected, as well as shut down production machinery. Fully digitally programmable, the AD-50 will detect and divert particles moving at speeds up to 108 feet (33 meters) per second, in a space requirement of only 13 feet (4 meters) due to the high speed 50 millisecond reaction time. 	The Argus AD-50 S High Speed Spark Diverting System includes all the fire suppression systems as the AD-50 C without the metal diverting capabilities. Typically installed before card lines and large cell blenders, the AD-50 S offers a safeguard to systems with a higher refilling cost. Available with FM-200 or Water Spray systems, the compact design of the AD-50 S requires only 5 feet (1.5 meters) of space in the duct line. The high speed 50 millisecond reaction time ensures that sparks are diverted and extinguished before the fire can spread to any downstream machinery.
